This is a photo of my dd and her first snowmen, and the kiss she had to give each one when we were done making them. I couldnt get over how darling it was to turn around and see her bending over to give them kisses a memory I will never forget.
This weeks inspiration was the gorgeous page Winters Maple by lkdavis (Linda). I thought of this photo as soon as I saw your gorgeous wintery layout. https://ozone.oscraps.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=299198&cpage=2&title=winter-27s-maple&cat=1351

The Process: It was so fun following Lindas lead I pretty much lifted most every element of her page. I began with a white background paper, applied the photo, in which I blending all but the snowmen and my dd. I placed multiple layers of the photo, the lowest layer on normal mode, the one on top was placed on multiply, so that the details of the snowmen were enhanced. I added the Sprinklez and then the LoopDaLoop, changing its color to aqua. I added the Crocheted Snow to the lower left and upper right edges, bringing their opacity down a bit. I also added the crocheted snowflakes (which I adore). I added the word strip from this weeks ArtPlay, but recolored it and changed the word Christmas to winter to better fit the page. I added the text overlay on top of everything, recoloring it to an aqua, and masked out the snowmen and my dd, bringing down its opacity as well. I added a few tissue textures around the base of the snowmen, and then brought in the pre-shaded frame. The frame layer was placed under the photo layer causing the side to blend away. I decided to bring the opacity of the frame down a bit as well. In the end, I decided to add a patterned paper and blend it in, in certain areas of the page. I liked the added touch of texture. My dd doesnt remember making the snowmen, but she was thrilled to see the page, and delighted at her little kiss.
