This is the second of a 4-page spread of a recent visit to the Newseum in Washington DC.

Kevin Carter, working for the NYT took this photo in Sudan on March 23 1993. No photo has ever left a bigger impression on me. Photojournalists have my upmost respect for the job they perform. Unfortunately this photographer suffered greatly from his experiences- he killed himself just a little after 1 year following his Sudan assignment. He was 33.
This is a wall of the uni-bombers cabin where his bed rested. You can see the outline of his body lying on the bed - made by soot from the wood fire heating the cabin.
