It was interesting to see the graffiti on the Berlin Wall sections and think of them in the context of the freedoms granted to us by our constitution freedoms we so regularly take for granted. The tower from Check-Point Charlie loomed above the wall with an eerie shadowing from the nearby windows lest we not get it that people risked their lives to try and reach a place where they could speak their mind, access unrestricted news and information, practice their faith, assemble with others and petition their government.
