The Many Talents of Mr. Kobi

(Forgive the long post description. I miss my little dog and felt the need for a little scrap therapy)
I lost my sweet little dog, Kobi, a few weeks ago, my constant companion for the past 13 years.
Since I work from home, he was always at my side and would follow me from room to room.
He weighed less than 10 pounds, making it easy to scoop him up and carry him around with me.
But he had many health problems, Kidney Disease included, and I knew I would eventually
have to make that final sad decision when the disease could no longer be controlled.
He would have an off day once in awhile, but always bounced back, earning him the nickname Energizer Bunny at the vets.
We were well known in the office with visits three times a week for treatment with SubQ fluids.
Lately I could tell he was losing the battle and his off days became more frequent until just a few weeks ago he gave up eating all together.
He looked so sad and tired. As I was holding him one day, trying to comfort him, he looked right up into my eyes as if to say, Its time.
At that moment I knew this would be our last day together and I cried lots of tears knowing I was making the right decision.
My family was with me the next day when we brought him in to our vets.
Ive never experienced this before and didnt know what to expect, but it was a very nice, peaceful procedure.
Although we were all crying like babies, my husband and son included,
it brought us closure to be with him at that moment and say good-bye to our sweet little Kobi.
(I created a 7x7 album at Blurb, but there is no link to share as far as I can tell. So I used a few of the album photos to make this spread.
Kobi was always a good sport, especially when he allowed me to dress him in silly costumes.
Although you can tell by the photo in the bottom corner of the right spread that he was not above pouting when he was sick of the whole thing.)
