Well as I live in San Diego it IS a challenge to come up with a LO depicting meaningful seasonal changes - but one thing fall does bring here is fires. Not every year, but 2 big ones in the 10 years we lived here. This LO depicts our experience in the 2007 Witch Creek Fire. My kids and the nanny evacuated while I was in Belgium on a work trip - they packed up the pets, photos and household papers - I was so proud of them - they know what is important.
I created this LO using a photo of a screen shot I took of the television coverage I was watching while waiting for my connecting flight home in DC. Longest flight ever as our house was in a direct path of the fire - thankfully the Santa Anna winds died down. I blended the photo with a couple of masks from the Bask kit.
PS -- I don't always scrap about family disasters - really.
I used the following to create the LO:
Anna Aspnes
ArtPlay Pallette Bask
Textured Frames 1
The fire elements were from
Holliewood Fire
VTKS Carrier
CK Man's script
Helvitica

You were incredible. You got all the photos and important papers saved, packed up the animals and fled. I was in Belgium for work and caught the first plane home. What a mess with ashes everywhere and an eerie orange sky for days. But you were safe, the beasts were safe and our memories were safe. This is fall in California...
