I've been posting all of these artsy fartsy pages (and I say "artsy fartsy" with love, for I do so love creating those kinds of pages) for my Chicago book when it occurred to me that I've not yet posted any of what I think of as the "meat and potatoes pages"--the pages with all of the photos and the trip details, so I thought I'd post one such page. I have several! Lucky you! You might get to see them all!

For my Chicago meat and potatoes pages I'm using Anna's FotoInspired templates and I'm taking ideas from the various Project Life/Project 365 pages in the gallery.

One of the reasons it takes me So. Darn. Loooooooong. to complete a travel book is because I photograph everything and I keep a very, very detailed travel journal. On any given day I can tell you what time we got up, what we were wearing, what we had for breakfast, what streets we walked down, did we turn left or right at the intersection, how long we sat on the park bench, what my favorite painting was at the museum, what the door man yelled at us as we ran away from the swanky club we tried to crash, etc. The page I'm posting here? This is us at the San Francisco airport, waiting to board our flight to O'Hare International Airport in Chicago. We hadn't even left yet and I already had several pages worth of photos and details, and don't even get me started on the photos I took of us packing and dressing for the flight! (Okay, I'm only sort of kidding about that last bit...but not really...)

Oh, and note to self: no more selfies! Eeeck! I'm certain my face doesn't really sag like that, and Mr. Squeak looks thrilled, n'est-ce pas?
