The Process: I began with a base of two neutral papers, and blended them together to allow their textures to show through. I added a 12 x 12 fotoblendz, changed its color, and used Linear Burn to blend it into the background. I then layered different FotoBlendz, attached the photo to them, and used the Color Burn Blend Mode. This lightened the photo, and allow the texture of the paper below to show through. I added the Cosmic Layered Overlay above the photo, and clipped it to the same FotoBlendz, thus adding color to the photograph. I played around with the different blend modes, choosing to use the Blend Mode Divide. I finished up the photo by creating another photo layer which I changed to black and white, and used the filter Find Edges, and then used blend mode Darken, and then selectively painted in just the area I wanted to show more detail in. I added the Warped Frame, the Stitching, and the LoopDaLoop, along with a variety of sea themed brushes. On the side of the photograph that was warmed up by the Cosmic Overlay, I added a series of the Radial Brushes, changing their color to the golden color, topping them off with the yellow crocheted element from AP Sunflower. I created a second frame around the outer edge, and to it I attached the banner, using selective coloring to change the pennant colors to match the layout. For a bit more texture, I placed the lace element from AP Sunflower and blended it using Luminosity, so that it took on the colors below it. I finished up with the journaling and title, and added a bit more texture by blending in the chevron texture.
