My daughter has been taking our dog Cricket with her to the beach the past few months. There are 2 Dog Beaches that we know of in the San Diego area, and this one is secure enough that she takes her off the leash, so she is free to play in the water, if she wants. Looking at the photo, it reminds me just how lucky we are to live in this area as beyond the rock jetty, I noticed both the masts of sail boats in the marina, and the Sea World tower in the background. Vacation Heaven!!!

The Process: I began with the two background papers, and used the technique from AnnaBlendz No. 1 to blend one paper into the other, to mimic the angle of the beach and water in the photograph I was using. I placed the photo along the blend line of the paper and attached it to the Layered FotoBlendz. I placed the FotoBlendz on blend mode Hard Light, which lightened the photo, and allowed a bit of the dot texture from the paper to show through. I placed the Antiquated Frame over the photograph, using Blend Mode Luminosity, which allowed the frame to take on the colors underneath it. I then applied a vector mask to the frame layer, and blended out the center portions of the frame, both horizontally and vertically. I didnt want the frame color to be exactly the same as what was underneath, so I duplicated the frame layer, placed the top of the two on the Normal Blend Mode, but brought the opacity down to about 50% so that I only saw a hint of the background color. I then duplicated the photograph, blending in just the portion of the beach that came out of the bottom edge of the frame. I added a few of the WaterColor FotoBlendz, under the photo layers and changed their colors and blend modes to faintly lighten the areas where they were placed, by using Blend Mode Hard Light. I added the plain neutral background paper to create a small border edge, and added the border stitching. I finished the page off by adding textures from APP Delightful, added the WarmGlow, the WordART and the Dotted LoopDaLoop, which was duplicated, offset a bit, and then changed to white, and added the dragonfly to the end of it.
