Journaling reads: I had the pleasure of attending Gaufest 2013 festessen und picknick at Kalahari in Ohio. Kens cousins were attending. I loved the pageantry, the music and seeing the dancing. The thing that amazed me the most however was what a family event this was. The event went late into the evening and the children were all well behaved. The baby boys were dressed in lederhosen. It was heartwarming to see the children practicing the traditional dance at the end picnic. Fathers were dancing with daughters that were barely taller than their knees. Siblings were dancing with each other. This is what our country needs more of- quality family time.
