Another page for my co-worker Megan. This is her dd Cora with Megans dad. While Megan is at work, her dad watches his grand-daughter Cora, so the two are very close. I love this photo of Cora with her Grandpa (she calls him Pops), just having a little quiet time while out for a day of site-seeing so very touching.

The Process:
The photo I used had some issues areas that would distract the eye in a negative way, so after choosing the background paper, and placing the photo, I decided I could eliminate and/or lessen the negative areas in two way: by using some blending techniques, and using transfers. I placed a number of transfers in the forground of the photograph, which covered up peoples legs. I blended out the people in the background of the image, not wanting to entirely remove them, but to lessen their importance. I applied the blendmode Color Burn, which allowed texture from the background paper to show through, and then copied this photo layer, placed it on the blend mode Normal, and masked all of the photo out except for the two people. I added the WordArt, and then added two edge overlays. One was used to darken the edge, the other was a ScriptTease overlay which I placed on the blendmode Divide, to make it white. I had placed a transfer on the upper right edge, and I enhanced this transfer by adding the Jazzed Up LoopDaLoop. The final item added was the Painted Flutterby in the lower left, which mimicked the faint flutterbys on the background paper.
