After some soul searching, I came to realize that Im much more of a journaler than an artist. So Ive decided to say what I want to say, and let the art serve the journaling.
Text: I really love my cat Sophie - Because shes not perfect. The markings on her nose are not quite symmetrical, and one paw has more white than another. Yet she is still so beautiful. We are bombarded every day with the idea that we have to be perfect to be beautiful or even acceptable. Recently a French magazine refused an American ad for a beauty product because they said that the images and claims were simply not true (they said this in French). Keats said that truth is beauty. Lies are not beauty. When we radiate the true beauty that we are, people feel beautiful being around us. And then a funny thing happens. They say, Shes so beautiful.
