The Process: For this layout, I began with a background paper from one of my all time favorite kits ArtPlay Palette Simplicity. I love the neutral background with the pale gray and white hint of text, and the splashes of pink just perfect for my photo. The photo I had was of poor quality (cell phone), but by keeping it small, and using layers and blend modes, it worked out fine. I placed the photo, and masked out all but the two little ones. I then copied the image and gave the top image the blend mode of hard light. It brightened up the photo a bit too much, so I brought down its opacity to about 30%. I placed the frame under the two girls. The pink from the background paper was a bit harsh for the photo, so to soften the area, I placed a light pink transfer from the same kit under the photo, and used the blend mode pin light. I added additional transfers and brushwork to balance out the layout. I added the various Script Tease brushwork, making them gray, plus I added a Script Tease Edge overlay which I recolored pale gray, so that it barely showed. On top of that overlay I added another edge overlay that I make pink, and applied the blend mode Multiply. I added the stitching, bow and brad to the lower right side of the frame, and the quote along outer right side of the frame. The final addition was the LoopDaLoop which was placed under the girls, but on top of the frame. Arent little girls just so very precious!!!
