This fence lived on what people refer to as the Jumping Bridge. The fence was horrible, rickety and if you try to jump off of it, it sways as you stand there. And yet, it is a rite of passage while at Yosemite to jump from it, making sure to keep an eye for a ranger (since you are not supposed to). . .

the fence has since been replaced and people jump from the new one.
