Eiffel Tower..

Eiffel Tower..

My dream was to visit Paris, I longed to see the Eiffel Tower in all its glory, I kept saying, some day, one day... Even though I have a heights phobia, I promised myself, if I ever got there, I would go right to the top and take photos of the surrounding city.. but..... I didnt count on my fear being soo strong, the sheer size and height overwhelmed me, there was NO WAY I was going to the top, I reluctantly got in the lift with Jim and all the other people, we were crammed in like sardines, as soon as I got in the lift, I buried my head in his shirt, shut my eyes and prayed to god... When the lift stopped at the first level I got out and latched myself onto the metal beams in the middle of the tower, and there I stayed until Jim came back down to get me.. I was rigid with fear, and was quite upset with myself for not being able to fulfill my goal..

Thanks for looking: Janet :)
I can totally relate! Heights are not my friend, either. Anyway, if you were all the way up to the top you wouldn't be able to get this very cool perspective! Love the photo technique!

wow Janet this is AMAZING girl!!!!!

Oohhh poor you, don't shame there are so many people who don't like it, it's so high!!

Wonderful page despite your fears...beautiful perspective and blending, and great journaling.

gorgeous, amazing page. wonderful crop, great title work.
i'm also suffering from heights phobia, so i can relate your fear.
nevertheless you reached the first level.

Well, you went up, and that's something. I fear heights too, but took the tram to the top of the mountain at Heavenly Ski Resort at Lake Tahoe (10 thousand feet). I was afraid the whole time, and coming down was scarier that going up. But I bought myself a charm of the tram at the gift shop at the top, and every time I wear it, I think of facing a fear and of the gorgeous view of the lake. It was summer. I can't believe people put on skis and go down that mountain. They must be crazy! Congratulations to you and to me!

LOL i also have a height phobia. So i do understand you.
What a beautiful perspective !!!!

you went part way! and look at the fabulous perspective on that photo ... not available from the top. gorgeous page!
