I remember when video was a thing of the Jetsons, Star Trek and other futuristic series, I remember how films would stay at the cinemas for a year, & the excitement when my parents would take us, how it was an outing of the best, with going to have something to eat afterwards, I remember the first time my dad took me to see The Sound of Music, and how he had to take me another 9 times, how much it would be of importance in my life, and how it also shaped Sarita's future. Fast forward a few years and I remember when Tommy first opened , how it was at the artsy, alternative "hippie" cinema at the Galeria del Este, and how we would go back , again and again, at least 9 times with Marta, and learned the song's lyrics just by being at the cinema... I remember many others like Melody & The Phantom of the Paradise, Carrie & The Shinning, and how I had to go to Uruguay to see the Clockwork Orange & SuperStar as they were forbidden I remember The Exorcist & One Flew Over the Cookoo's Nest, & how at certain point in midst of all films like Shark or any other box office hit would be "uncool" and how all my friends worship Wim Wendres & Bergman and how I cried on ET and who I was with that afternoon at the cinema... and nostalgia invades the soul, and one wants some kind of time machine that would let you go back just to the best bits.. .knowing all we know today... oh nostalgia, the blessing of having had good times.
