Just for fun, I decided to use this photo I received in one of those email forwards that makes the rounds.
Although I love the photo (we have a beagle), I also love the accompanying text.
Its very good advice! (look closely at the photo)
when you are deep
in the thick of things,
look straight ahead,
keep your mouth shut,
and say nothing.

Process:
Place the photo. Choose a background paper from ArtsyBlendz Origins.
To soften the photo, place a brush/mask from Origins Elements under the photo and clip it to the mask.
Because of the shape of the mask, the photo didnt cover it.
Duplicate the background paper and place the copy under the photo, clipping it to the mask
(by doing this, the parts of the mask not covered by the photo blend into the background).
Further soften the photo, by adding a transfer from Origins Elements under the photo layers.
Continue to layer under the photo by adding another paper from Origins and shrinking it to a desired size.
Complete the page adding text and title. Add an element from Origins and place behind title.
Place the circle/squiggle line transfer from AP EmbraceLife (multiply mode) behind photo layers to unite the title at the bottom.
Add a white brush from SprayPaint No.2 to the left of the photo for contrast
and to balance the white edge of the photo frame.
