The Process: This was a fun layout to create. After choosing the photo, I used the photo tutorial created by Chris http://chrisasbury.blogspot.com/2013/02/creating-minimal-abstract-style-with.html. For some reason, I didnt want to have the photo be the whole page, so I placed it inside a frame. To increase the texture in the photo, I increased the contrast using curves applied to the background paper behind the photo (from ArtPlay Palette Barren Sunrise) I then bumped up the blues. On top of that paper, I placed another paper with orange and yellows, which I blended and masked until I liked the colors. I wanted the frame to appear to be blended into the background, so I applied the same background paper to the frame, and created a custom shadow, eliminating any shadows from the center outside of the frames so it appears to be cut and bent out of the background paper. I added the warm glow; apply it to both the background paper and another copy to the frame. I blended in the birds, and added the chevron transfer to the background paper as well as an edge overlay to add some interest. I added the LoopDaLoop keeping it under the frame, and placed the birds on top of the loop. Feeling it was missing something, I added the flip-flop charm, making it appear it was wrapping around the frame.
