Journaling reads: It is hard to believe that how fast my little girl has grown up. She will be 21 her next birthday, but I remember all the years to this point as if they happened yesterday. She will be moving out of the house before you know it, and embarking on her own, but I have to say it doesnt concern me because of the many traits she has, being smart, funny, compassionate, quite logical in her thinking, strong in character, hardworking, just a few of the traits that will certainly carry her through her lifetime. Where did the time go?
The Process: I chose a kit that I felt would work well both color-wise, and elements (transfer/brush-wise) with the photos used. I chose the white background paper in the ArtPlay Elegance kit, but bumped the contrast up a bit to show more texture. I used a few of the brushes mainly in the corners, changing the colors, I added the black and white dot paper, masking most of it out, just showing a hint in the corners, and changed the color of it as well to the deep rust used throughout the layout. I chose to mask one of the photos, and to frame the other. The text was placed over Annas Artsy Paint No. 2, bringing the opacity down just a bit to not distract from the text. I added the LoopDaLoop so that the staples were on the photo edge, and added a word strip at the other fastener on the LoopDaLoop. With the subject matter being time, I added an Artsy Clock, changing the hearts to a red. I then chose to add 3 buttons, creating a visual triangle.
