Journaling:
For the first time in 10 years I left the technology at home and took a technology free break: no phone, no iPad no computer. I kissed quietitude and I kinda liked it! Note to self. Do it again, and more often. Feb 2013

Process:
I started my layout with a solid background and arranged Transfers and Overlays from the ArtPlay Palette to create a custom artsy background with an obvious space for my photo :: The photo was converted to black and white using the My 4 Hens Sterling action (Fable collection) and clipped to a Numbered FotoBlendz :: Glows from the template and ChatterSampler were added with Screen blending modes applied to impart light :: Words were gathered from the Palette, ChatterSampler, LabeledWords Social Network and positioned diagonally and on the opposing side of the photo to create visual interest. Additional words were added using type in a variety of fonts.
