While it is a little unfair to ask a librarian what her favorite book is there are some clear winners in my book that rise to the top. Frankenstein, The Power of One, The Westing Game, but one of my all time favorites is the Harry Potter series. They were right up my alley the first year I started teaching, and I fell in love with them after the first one came out. It was a bit scandolous that I was reading them at my Catholic school, but I had to get the children sucked in too! I was one that was standing in line at midnight for the new release and staying up all night reading. I have ornaments, shirts, book ends and more. (Sadly, no wand.) Now Im 37 and I still love them as much as the day they came out. I cant wait until I can read them with my son. Ive reread the series for the 4th time and am on my way to see the Potted Potter show, which only a true Potterhead will appreciate. I think when people ask me what my favorite book is, Harry Potter would be a close to honest answer. Theyll probably ask, After all this time? To which I will reply..."Always."
