The original idea for this page was love is "art for art's sake" ... that was even on the page at one time ... but like a lot of pages, it went off in a different direction.
I think it still fits my idea of art for art's sake, though

the original photo was a black and white photo from the internet. i combined a bunch of filters and applied them to the b&w image to get a more artsy look. then, i painted on the photo with a soft round brush to get the different colors. the lips are my favorite part. they are masked on their own layer. i colored them, then applied my own action to get them to look smooth and added a gloss.

the signature is also from the internet.
