I wanted to preserve one of our country's traditions in my 2013 scrapbook. The journaling reads:
January 21, 2013 - Inauguration Day and Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Its a grand celebration of our political process, our democracy, our pride in being Americans. For one day we can put aside our political differences and wave the flag and smile. We can critique the first ladys dresses and laugh at funny photo ops. There are touching moments, gaffes and blunders, and everything that makes this pomp and pagentry our own - its American.
January 22, 2013 - back to business again.
