I have to say that one of my biggest faults has been never taking time for me as my daughter grew up. It was something I had never been taught to do, as my mom was the same way. My daughter is grown now, so I am slowly beginning to take some time for me. I see me as reinventing myself, much as a caterpillar does when it becomes a butterfly. I am not one for making resolutions, but I began a diet in July, and to date have lost 40 pounds (WOOHOO!!!). 20 more to go and I am at my pre-pregnancy weight, just 21 years after my daughter was born Oh well. The weight is just one thing I am learning to put myself first, as I am one that always drops everything for everyone else, never taking the time for me and that is changing too so although I hate ME people, I find I need to do that just to learn that I can do so much more if I take care of me first, and then give to others.
