Sisters

For December Challenge No.1 - Copycat

"This is me with my sister, Jacquelyn, sometime in the late 1940's in NYC. We did not know each other very well at that time. She was born in CA and lived there with my parents until my father was discharged from the Navy after WWII. Meanwhile, I lived in Texas with grandparents. It was a difficult transition for everyone when my family reunited and moved to NY. Neither Jacquelyn or I ever fully accepted being
sisters. We were opposite personalities and argued
frequently. But, recently my little sister suddenly passed away. I wish I could put my hand on her shoulder again and be friends.
Dec. 20, 2012"

Such a beautiful picture of both of you. Lovely layout. I'm so sorry for the loss of your sister.

bittersweet Judy... blood doesn't always mean acceptance... I know personally... you have created a sweet page... lots of emotion visible... and I somehow imagine your sister feeling your hand on her shoulder...

so beautiful, Judy. the page, your story. wouldn't it be great to get a few "do-overs" as Christmas gifts this year? i know. so sorry about the sudden loss and unfinished business.

Love that you shared your emotion and scrapped the page so beautifully. So sorry for your loss.
