my grandmother gave me this Dutch oven many, many years ago so that i could make Spanish rice like hers ... "you'll have mine someday but until then use this one well." now, i have both. i still use this one partly because of the chicken on top. i'm not sure why but my grandmother got the idea that i liked chickens so she often sent me things with chickens on them
