Were really not geared up for snow here in the UK. One small flurry of the white stuff and chaos inevitably ensues. In December 2010 we had the first proper snowfall for quite a number of years. Businesses & schools couldnt open and roads were impassable, even for the most robust of 4x4 vehicles. My house is located in peaceful, small cul-de-sac and for four whole days, no cars could get in or out! The only way to get about was either on foot, on skis or by sledge.
