eople change. That has never been more apparent in my life than in the past year and a half.Upon Tynans arrival back home from Flordia Tynan announced that he wanted to get a tatoo. One that was the Farley coat of arms Now mind you he said this to his father who 8 months ago would not look at him nor talk to him for 3 days when he got his ear pierced. Aaron who was home helping with Matts care
thought that was a really cool idea.He would get the same one and would look into the designs. Matt just looked at them not saying anything. Eventually they came up with the idea that they would use the Farley crest and the Walsh family motto from my side. Pierced through but not destroyed. So off they went the brothers before Aaron had to report.Calan just loved it but because he was a minor he couldnt get it done but told Matt come 18 it would be his turn. Aaron left but 10 months later told us he was coming home for a visit before he was deployed to South Korea. Well this prompted Calan to ask Matt if he could get a tatoo like his brothers before Aaron deployed since we did not know when he would see Aaron again and this was a brothers thing. Matt listened, looked at him, said I understand, it is a brothers thing. Go for it. When Aaron came home Tynan and Aaron got the motto added and Calan got the whole thing done with his brothers.Matt grudgingly admitted that it looked pretty cool. I am blessed to have sons that are so tight and blessed that Matt sees it too, enough to let go of a long held bias.Children force us out of our comfort zone no matter the age.
