This is for the Nov 2012 Theme Challenge - an advert for the comedy troupe I was part of in college called "It's Only a Fiver".
This style is quite a departure for me and it took AGES to get each line of the story out of sync with the line above! But I really had fun reliving some memories I'd forgotten about.
Ooops, the eye strain is a bit much, so here's the journaling:
In my second year of college I got involved with a comedy group as you do, when an undergraduate in Cambridge! My flat mate, xxxx, was one of the writers & actors, as was my history classmate, xxxx. They already had a stage manager but they needed a lighting engineer, I could work a lighting box so hey presto, I was in.
The funny thing is, I remember very little about the build up to the performances. I remember finally getting access to the Robinson College auditorium to check out and design the lighting. I remember sitting in the lighting box creating pools of brightly coloured light across the empty stage. And I remember furiously pedalling my bike to & from Robinson College, which is redbrick modern and on the quite the wrong side of the Backs! Yet strangely I remember little else. I cant remember any of the sketches. I cant remember the party Im pretty sure we would have had afterwards.
Thank goodness I kept this flyer which I do remember plastering around all over Cambridge in the true spirit of all wannabe Footlights members!
