when i think of pretty women, i think first of my mom, who was a stunner in her younger days. when i think of pretty women, i also think of one of the most gorgeous tunes ever written: "Pretty Women," from one of the most bizarre and strange musicals ever written: Sweeny Todd. if you just heard that song by itself, out of it's "Sweeny Todd" context, it's just a fabulous tune about lovely women. i had an "ear worm" of that tune for about a MONTH after hearing it sung by Alan Rickman and Johnny Depp in the Sweeny Todd film. the rendition is surprisingly gorgeous. my mom was gorgeous. that's the only connection here!

p.s. my mom had a variety of nicknames. all those girls are her.
