I definitely have a love/hate relationship with my job. Well, to begin with, I never have any idea how I got
myself involved with teaching. Its not exactly something that I can imagine myself doing. But, in uni, I ended up majoring in Education and thus begin my life as an
educator. Oh, how I hated it so, so much! Coming up with the lessons, the ways to attract the students attention, to make them understand what I am teaching in front. It is not an easy task at all. I have to go through a lot of stuff. Hard, tedious stuff. Oh and another thing that I hate about the job is the fact that I have to mark the students paper.. This really, really gets on my nerves so you would usually see piles and piles of paper on my table and bookshelves, waiting to be marked.. But, there are also certain aspects of the work that I love. I got along well with the students and that is very important for me. After the end of last semester, some students that I taught had asked me why I will not be to teach them again (for another writing subject) and I asked them, do you really want me to teach you? They said Yes! Another class of mine, upon knowing that I would be teaching them again this semester said that they were happy to be taught by me, which was really surprising. The same thing happened yesterday when I was registering my students for next semester and they found out that they will be having a writing class again. They asked whether Ill be teaching them and so I asked them why do you want me to teach you. They said, because we love you! Aww... I must have done something right all along, to make me such a hit with them...
