First Day of Kindergarten. I recently found these photos of our granddaughters first day of kindergarten, 2010. The series of photos shows her arriving at school looking sad and afraid to leave her mommy, on the playground shy and timid, and at last a big smilegoing home after the big day.
I love this sweet poem (internet):
Oh how I longed to stay with her and keep her by the hand
To lead her through the places that she couldnt understand.
But she must have her chance to live, to work her problems out,
The privilege to grow and learn what life is all about.
And I must share my little girl with friends and work and play;
Shes not a baby anymore Shes in Kindergarten today.
