Journalling: This is my great grandfather Erik and his younger brother Albert and their older sister Maria. The photo must have been taken around 1905-1910. They had a sister that died before her third birthday, Anna. In the death-book (in the background), it says that she died from brain fever in 1890, the same year my ggf was born. Their mother, Marit, died from Tuberculosis in 1894. Albert was adopted by a rich, single woman. Erik moved in with his grandparents. Maria, who had other relatives than her siblings (!), probably moved in with them. Given that this picture exists, they must have had some contact after all.
