I wish I had understood the power of conversation while my family was still here. Like asking Shirley about her first husband, the one that abandoned her. And about Gale. I know virtually nothing about him. And about the unusual documents we found when she passed. Why were there two weddings to the same man, a couple of years apart? Did Grandma hire a PI? Unfortunately, these are questions that will probably remain unanswered.
