Linda's pics and journaling, my scrapping

journaling - It's an old photo...and not very good. But when I see it, the
memories flood back. I'm the one on the left. The photo was
taken in the summer of 1984 at Table Rock Lake. We were
vacationing with my aunt and uncle and cousins. My uncle
Johnnie drove the boat. He took water skiing seriously...and
Johnnie took great pride in always being able to get anyone
skiing. At the end of the previous summer's vacation, Johnnie
finally got me to try it. I loved it. But I never was able to get
up! Johnnie took it personally. And said that we would
start again the next year. I didn't think that I could do it. I
wasn't athletic and wasn't very coordinated. But whenever
I would see Johnnie during the year, he would remind me
that I'd be skiing the following summer. I would think
"IMPOSSIBLE". And I still remember the feeling as the boat
pulled away and this time I popped from the water. And I
stood. And I remained standing. I had such a feeling of a
ccomplishment...and pride.

And Johnnie just smiled!
