After Sailing - 1943

After the race, another image from my husband great grandfather.
It was a single imaged that I colored from B&W with some HDR adjustments.

Journaling by my husband,
The boat is an inland lakes class E scow. Until multi-hull boats (e.g. catamarans) came along, the Class A scows were the fastest sailing boats in the world. This boat is being skippered by my great grandfather (Harold Fisher) on Lake Minnetonka, MN. The boat name is Bandit II (it replaced his original boat, Bandit). He won many races in these regattas and was, at one point, commodore of the Lake Minnetonka Yacht Club.
I think there is something about this photo that is so peaceful, that let you be transported to such a place, where the beauty of the boat is what is just left after about that exciting sailing day.

I used few of Ana Brushes from Arplay Easter Chicks.
great colours, the ripples in the water are so clear and nicely reflected on the boat. Love the addition of that little bird.

Saw this in the gallery and it is absolutely perfect.... You made a page that showcases the photo with perfection!
