My Aunt Melba when she was young. She is the wife of my father's brother, Eugene. She and my uncle always lived close by. In fact, they followed my mother and father to New York City from Texarkana, Texas after WWII. I've always admired the courage, hope and
self-confidence it took in those times to move from a small southern town to the big city in the north.
