Journaling reads: Recently I was researching an address using Google Earth, I later came across a bunch of photos in an internet history directory of very weird, distorted photos. I had no idea where they came from until I recognized some of the images. They apparently were image dumps of my maneuvering through the streets of New York City. I often wondered how it was that Google was able to present to users a street view, and looking at the very funky series of photos gave me some incite of how it is you can pan in 3d. In the photo above, the street is very distorted - looking like a rounded curved road, but in reality, the road is perfectly straight.
