In fall of 2006, we took a weekend trip to Sand Patch, a small locale and the primary crossing of the Allegheny Mountains for CSX. Sand Patch is a railfan hot spot in Pennsylvania with lots of great scenery, plenty of trains but NO cell phone towers!! (This was bad because the Tigers were in the playoffs, of course no radio either and I couldnt even get text updates from home!!!)
