Journaling Reads: Ron, Rachel and I attended the Ski Patrol Western Division dinner and conference held at Snow Bird, Utah in 1995. Since I had already quit ski patrol, while Ron was busy with the conference, I took Rachel to Salt Lake for the day and we walked around the city, and toured the Mormon Temple. I had always wanted to check the area out as I had remembered years before, my mom telling me that my dad, in his Truck Driver days, had fallen in love with this city. I suppose it made me feel a little more in touch with a dad that had passed long before I could really get to know him. In driving around the city, I could see why he would have liked it. The architecture was beautiful, the city was clean, and had many beautiful park and garden areas.
