I received this sweet letter from my son for Mothers Day ten years ago. I was so touched that he knew me as a person and not just a mother who took care of his everyday needs as a child. I have this letter tucked away in a special place...someday I might actually collect all the goodies he talks about in the letter.

Letter: The Perfect Mother's Day

Dear Mom,
Happy Mothers Day. When you wake up in the morning, you will be having Country Eggs Benedict
with ham and Irish Coffee at the Courtyard that Grandma opened up just for you on Mothers Day.
After breakfast, you will be going to Stoneridge Mall with an empty credit card to shop for a few hours. Afterwards, you will be driven in a limo to Gumps in San Francisco to shop. When you are done in Gumps, you will be escorted to Union Square for some more shopping. When you are done, the limo will pick you up and youll go to a jazz club where they play non-stop Billy Holiday music.
The next morning you will fly to Ireland and on to France with Dad on a private jet. In Ireland, you can see the beautiful countryside. In France, you can look at the wonderful architecture and visit the museums. When you get home we will have new carpets and a mantel will be added to the fireplace. We will also have a new entertainment system. I wish I was able to do this. You deserve it.
