Journaling reads: I think it odd that I should be so terrified of any ride. I am a big lover of roller coasters, but when it comes to the basic carnival rides, I am terrified of THE ZIPPER.
Just like with any kid, I have seen my share of carnivals growing up. We had an amusement park located just 1/2 mile from our home, yet THE ZIPPER is a ride I never care to ride again. While riding this ride for the first and only time, my sister Toni and I put in our minds that the door to the cage was not fastened well enough, and we were certain it would open and we would go flying out of the cage. We fed off each others fears, which made the terror that much more intense, gripping the mesh sides as we screamed in terror, hoping this would keep us in the cage when the door flung opened.
Of course I know this is a bit crazy thinking this would happen, and we laugh about it now, but I still would much rather go on Goliath or a mega-coaster than take another ride on THE ZIPPER
