Still finishing up my 2008 album for print. Good thing I wrote these stories down to scrap now!
Journaling: It had been a late day at school for me and a long day at Omis for Landon, so at 9pm I was trying to get dinner on the table. He was sneaking in the fridge periodically to steal pickles, but I didn't stop him because the poor kid was hungry. Suddenly I noticed silence and throw everything down to seach for Landon. This is what I found: He had taken an orange (or as he refers to them, an "apple"
and the knife I had left on the counter and was making himself dinner in my room. When I walked in he shoved the piece of orange he had cut peel and all and was chewing as fast as he could in fear of me taking it away. His thumb was also bleeding everywhere and he was licking that off as well. Yum. So of course I couldn't get mad before snapping a picture. Then he was in BIG trouble. Now apparently cut fingers with orange juice dripping all over them do not hurt at all, but having them cleaned and bandaged is just pure torture - and yes, he kept crying for his "apple." The carpet is cleaned, his shorts are in the wash, and the cuts are almost healed. But man, what am I going to do with him?!?
