Belated Happy New Year, OScrappers! Hope the New Year has been treating you well so far. It's been a while since I've posted. Besides the usual job and holiday crazies, I've had a ***nasty*** case of scrapper's block. For weeks and weeks now, I haven't been able to muster up any enthusiasm for scrapping, let alone make anything I actually liked, but the latest AnnaLift gave me the kick in the tooshie I needed. Thanks, Donna, for choosing such a wonderful layout for this week's lift, and Holy Moly, Kathleen D, what a fantatic work of art!
The photos on this page were taken in NYC, on a trip I took with my BFF a while ago. The photos themselves were not great, but I've mentioned on earlier layouts how I keep a "I Can't Bear to Throw These Photos Away...Yet!" folder, hoping for inspiration that would let me scrap them. These pics were in that folder. I like them because they tell a story of an observer being secretly observed, but as I said, the photo quality was not so great. Fortunately, a bit of blending and some dress-up using Anna's products does wonders!
Journaling reads:
"After leaving Grand Central Terminal, we continued our exploration of Midtown by walking down Lexington Avenue until we came to the Chrysler Building. I was quite taken with the flying hub caps perched on the corners of the bottom portion of the building, and I photographed them from many different angles in an attempt to get a good shot of them. Later, when we were back home and had exchanged photos, I was amused to see that Angela has photographed me photographing the hub caps."
