A new year begining ... is, in principle, the time for new resolutions. Personally, I never liked taking resolutions because I find it a very futile practice of setting goals, often unattainable, on the grounds that it is the first of January and we have to do so. Most of the time, people pretend they are willing to take a new start but isnt it just a way to feel good at the beginning of the year? Come on, hop, wipe off all the bad things from 2011, all our weaknesses and inconsistencies, and start again! Yes, isnt it a confession of extreme weakness to be able to show a little courage, determination and firmness only at the beginning of each new year, under the cover of an excuse as little guided by our own will than a date on the calendar?
