journalingespite my roots Ive never been very country. No country music, ropers or Wranglers for me. Yet somehow I find myself with these black cowboy boots, realizing Ive owned them for over 15 years. Ive two stepped & head banged in them, worn them to hoedowns and on Halloween.They spent many a night paired with butt level shorts or mini-skirts while I served up drinks at City Slickers.They were with me when I made my daughters horse riding dreams come true. Now they pretty much only come out for our family's annual trip to the rodeo but I realize that Im quite fond of these boots and all that weve been through together. I mean I did end up married to a former FFA member and Ive even come to appreciate some country music along the way.
