Journaling:
This Nativity scene of primitive clay figures from Mexico was the focal point of our mantle when I was growing up in the 50s and 60s. We kids would move the Three Wise Men closer and closer to the manger as Christmas drew near and place the Baby Jesus in his manger on Christmas morning. We all loved the hand made clay figures. I remember the day my mother bought clay for us to make our own little Nativity set. My sister and I made Joseph and Mary and my brother made the Baby Jesus. Years
later, my son made the yellow star to carry on the tradition. Our family Nativity has fond memories for three generations.
