On this part of the tour, our friend took us into an office area where he showed us the first hand crayon-colored depiction of Mars' surface, as colored in by the number by the scientists as the satellite sent the information back to flight control. There's a close-up so you can see what I mean. The large globe you see there is actually a projector with 2 or 3 projectors inside. You can change what you see by pressing buttons on a wall pad, and see ocean temps, how people change surface temps, all that kind of stuff. And there's a shot of our kids listening to him tell all about the Sojourner rover #life-sized model shown#. Oh yeah-that little scoop thing? Retrieved from the moon. It sits next to the moonrock.
