and the journaling, for those who are curious:
Georgia, in dismay I have watched you regress this new school-year. Watched you turn aggressive, incompliant and frustrated. Youve started lashing out at Dean, eating like a 1-year old, and stopped bothering to use the toilet. My initial reaction was to yell and this only worsened the situation as I saw you burst into tears and claim:I can't do anything right!
Break my heart, You couldnt even get the words out properly as you are still struggling with two languages.
So I paused, had a bit of a whine with friends and thought about it.
Heres the thing, there is nothing wrong with you. you do everything just fine, but (as when Dean was born) your world is being turned on its head. Where once you had Kindergarten, Jack and Jill and Music all to yourself, you are now having to share with Dean. Everything that used to be yours alone, is now yours TOGETHER. It will take time on your part, time to get used to sharing, and patience on my part (not my strong suit), but together, we will get through this. And until we have, there will be no more frustrated yelling, from either of us - okay?
