This Sunday marks the 10 year anniversary of the
worst thing that could happen in this country, at
least during my lifetime.
Journaling:
As if it were yesterday and not
10 years ago, I am reflecting on
the most horrific things that has
Occurred in this country in my
lifetime. I sat in front of my tv
watching for hours, which then
turned into days. There were no
words spoken by anyone, including
out President that made any sense
of why this had happened. I cried
for days, people everywhere had so
much compassion for one another.
It was just the sites of attack that
were damaged. Every person in this
country was affected and hit that day.
Those images on that day are forever
burned into our memories and the
history books. And though this year
the mastermind behind this tragedy
was assassinated, it can't undo all that
we feel. Our loss on this day will
always be felt, but we will never let
anyone destroy us. United we will
always stand, upon the land that we
love and honor. Thank you to all
who go and protect us and this
country and all that sacrificed that
September day, 10 years ago.
