My middle child is a chef at the Fairmont Hotel in Seattle. He treated us to a couple of days there along with more food than was humanly possible to eat. We tried though!
Shuckers, in the Fairmont Olympic, was to be our final dinner. A beautiful historic room, but a bit hard to photograph. Stephanie, a pastry chef, was heroic in staying up for us since she leaves for work at 3 a.m. Iain gets to sleep a few hours later! Iain had the short ribs as an appetizer, Dick had the chowder, & I had oysters! This is what I had really been looking forward to. Excellent! I had a salad as an entree because I wanted to sample a dessert. It was a wonderful meal with Iain & Stephanie & it made us both happy to see them both so content. Tomorrow it would be adieu.
